Job Description: Head of Services and Procurement Department

1. Supervision of matters related to procurement, including guidance, task allocation, and defining the duties of supervised staff.
2. Forecasting the needs of the relevant unit and taking action to obtain necessary credits and distribute them among the procurement staff under supervision.
3. Supervising the method of purchasing and the quality of goods, controlling and approving documents related to purchased items.
4. Supervising the collection of required information from suppliers of supplies and goods and coordinating with procurement staff under supervision in purchasing goods from suppliers who are more suitable in terms of price and quality of goods.
5. Supervising the receipt of purchase requests from units and controlling issued orders and prioritizing requests based on need and necessity.
6. Controlling and guiding procurement staff regarding the delivery of purchased goods to the warehouse unit.
7. Participating in the meetings of the medium transactions commission as needed and by written order of the superior manager.
8. Holding internal meetings with procurement staff and proposing work methods and preparing their work reports.
9. Supervising the preparation of expense documents for auditing and check issuance.
10. Performing other assigned duties by the superior authority.
11. Supervising the provision of public and support services to university personnel in coordination with the relevant units.
12. Supervising cleaning, the pantry, catering, the restaurant, transportation, and the commuting of employees.
13. Cooperating in the assignment of support and public services to contractors outside the organization.
14. Controlling and supervising the performance of contractors in charge of support and public services at the university.
15. Supervising the transfer of equipment and supplies and collecting obsolete and unusable furniture and delivering it to the warehouse in coordination with the university's property inventory.
16. Visiting departments and units under supervision and reviewing and supervising the proper provision of public and support services.
17. Cooperating in the catering of internal and external guests in carrying out ceremonial affairs, transportation, meeting venues, and the like, in coordination with the Public Relations Department and the Student Affairs Deputy of the university.
18. Performing other assigned tasks within the organizational duties by the superior authority.
